These Terms of Service (“Terms”) describe the rules and conditions for using the websites, tools, and communication services operated by Indigo Bird under the Gloria name, including withgloria.org, mission.withgloria.org, app.withgloria.org, and any related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Who We Are

Gloria is a project of Indigo Bird, a nonprofit organization that coordinates logistical support such as lodging and related assistance for people traveling for time-sensitive care. Gloria is not a medical provider and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Eligibility

You may use the Services only if:

  • You are at least 18 years old, or using the Services with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, and

  • You have the authority to agree to these Terms on your own behalf or on behalf of someone you are supporting.

By using the Services, you represent that you meet these requirements.

What the Services Do (and Don’t Do)

The Services may help you:

  • Receive and review lodging or travel details
  • Communicate with Gloria staff or volunteers about logistics
  • View information and updates related to your stay or travel
  • Access links or instructions for secure communication tools (for example, Signal)

The Services do not provide:

  • Medical advice or treatment
  • Legal advice
  • Financial lending or credit

Any medical, legal, or financial decisions are between you and those professionals, not Gloria.

If you need medical advice, please contact a licensed healthcare provider. If you are experiencing an emergency, call your local emergency number immediately.

Accounts and Security

Some parts of the Services (for example, a traveler dashboard) may require a code, link, or login.

You agree to:

  • Keep any codes, links, or login details confidential
  • Notify us promptly if you believe your access has been misused
  • Not share dashboard access or messages in a way that puts your privacy or safety at risk

Gloria is not responsible for loss or harm resulting from unauthorized access caused by your sharing or mishandling of access credentials.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for any unlawful, harassing, threatening, or abusive purpose

  • Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person

  • Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or compromise the security of the Services

  • Scrape, copy, or misuse content, data, or tools provided by Gloria except for your personal, lawful use

  • Use the Services to send spam, automated messages, or unauthorized promotional content

We may suspend or terminate access if we believe your use violates these Terms or risks harm to others.

Privacy

Your privacy and safety are extremely important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

By using the Services, you agree that we may process your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

Third Party Links and Services

The Services may link to or integrate with third-party tools or sites (for example, Signal, mapping tools, or lodging platforms). Gloria does not control these third-party services and is not responsible for their content, policies, or practices.

Use of any third-party services is at your own risk and subject to those services’ terms and privacy policies.

Communications, SMS, and Signal

Gloria may communicate with you using:

  • SMS/text messages
  • Encrypted messaging tools such as Signal
  • Email or phone calls
  • Notifications within our web tools or dashboards

By providing your phone number or contacting us via phone or SMS, you agree that:

  • You consent to receive one-to-one, non-promotional text messages from Gloria related to logistical support (for example, travel coordination, arrival times, and lodging instructions).
  • Message frequency will vary based on your needs and the timing of your travel and stay.
  • Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

You can always opt out of SMS:

  • Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe from Gloria text messages at that number.
  • Reply HELP if you need help regarding our SMS messages, or contact us using the information at the bottom of this page.

Opting out of SMS may limit how we can communicate with you about time-sensitive logistics, but you can still reach us through other channels where available.

Encrypted messaging: If we invite you to use Signal or another secure application, the terms and privacy policies for that application are provided by its publisher and are separate from these Terms.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving services from Gloria.
